The Fillmore Silver Spring
Post hardcore legends Silverstein are celebrating their 25th anniversary in the new year, and they’re rounding up the best in the scene to help them celebrate. The band is embarking on a massive 25 Years of Noise North American Tour starting immediately in January. They’ll be joined by industry legends Thursday alongside brand new nu metal rock stars Split Chain. This tour is going to be explosive, so make sure you grab your tickets to their Maryland show before they’re gone!
Silverstein is a Canadian post-hardcore band from Burlington, Ontario. They rose to fame instantly with the release of their emo debut album, When Broken Is Easily Fixed in 2003, but had been making music for a few years before its release. Since then, Silverstein have continuously dominated the emo and post-hardcore scenes, being one of the first few bands in the scene to find commercial success. Today, they’re still rocking out with help from the equally iconic Thursday and the shiny new shoegaze-influenced rock band Split Chain. Quite the stacked lineup if you ask me, so get your tickets ASAP!
After nearly 25 years of performing good old fashioned headbanging hits, Silverstein shows no signs of stopping. But celebrating this huge milestone can’t be done alone. Joining in on their 25 Years of Noise Tour are the equally significant Thursday and the unsigned newcomers Split Chain. Hailing from New Jersey, Thursday have been on the scene longer than Silverstein themselves. They blend emo-influenced lyrics with an indistinguishable post-hardcore sound. Check them out. Then get tickets to see them support Silverstein at The Fillmore Silver Spring.
While a large part of the appeal for Silverstein’s 25 Years of Noise Tour is the two emo legends themselves, Silverstein and Thursday, give me a second to get you excited for their opening act. Split Chain is a relatively new band emerging from the UK hardcore scene with specific influences from the increasingly active emo and grunge scenes in their hometown. The band is less than two years old, and have only released nine singles (including an amazing Type O Negative cover) but have already garnered over 250,000 listeners on Spotify and millions of streams. Don’t miss out on your chance to support them for their first shows abroad. Get tickets now!
With such an amazing group of performers, it’s hard to believe I’m even writing this trying to convince you to attend. What’s not to love? Fans of emo and post-hardcore of the early 2000s will know and love Thursday and Silverstein. But if that’s somehow not enough to sell you a ticket, check out Split Chain for an even mix of nu-metal, shoegaze, and emo. The 25 Years of Noise Tour is going to be legendary. Celebrating Silverstein’s 25 years as emo artists, you’re going to be sorry you missed it… if you don’t buy some tickets right now, I mean. They’re available online today, so quit debating it and grab some seats for their Silver Spring, Maryland date. You know you wanna go, so why are you hesitating? Get ticjkets now. Be there or be square.
